According to TLC, the rest of the house consists of a giant pantry — the Duggars understandably buy much of their food in bulk — a music room, an area where the children are homeschooled, a mail room, a studio, and a prayer closet.
In other words, the Duggar home sounds like an incredibly and well-oiled and certainly well-organized machine.
Yet with a number of the Duggar kids moving out to start their own families, some fans have expressed concern over the fact that the eldest Duggar children — year-old twins Jana and John-David — are still stuck bunking with their young siblings, with the youngest Duggar child being on 7 years old. Since they are still at home, Jana and John-David would still be expected to follow all the usual Duggar family rules, and contribute to the daily routine — which, for Jana, means an awful lot of caretaking, cooking and cleaning.
According to Entertainment Daily, fans have long been calling for Jana to finally have a room of her own, but she's said publicly that she doesn't mind being at home, and has no interest to jump into marriage or motherhood. In a episode of Counting On , Jana said,.

This photo was taken in their industrial kitchen during the November holidays. In March , Jana Duggar surprised her parents with a bedroom makeover while they were away for a week and a half. Jana took on the bathroom, too, sprucing up the space with a new shower curtain and lighting fixtures.
Adding mirrors above the bath gave the room a whole new vibe and really opened it up. Their dorm has a Western theme and is full of mostly bunk beds. How awesome is that? There's also an industrial-sized kitchen, a pantry, and other hidden nooks. All the sisters share one big room that's surprisingly pretty cute.

The coolest feature about this room is that there's a trap door under the bed that connects to the play room. This surprisingly awesome play room comes with a trampoline, a slide, a swing set, and even a rock climbing wall!
While the couple was on their honeymoon, the older Duggar siblings got together and remodeled Jessa's home. For the living room, they replaced the carpet with hardwood and refinished the fireplace. For the kitchen, they knocked out a wall, replaced the counters with granite, and replaced the cupboards. They did a good job at making the space feel homey while blending their two styles.
They can't do this to us. The sisters are due to reveal more in a one-hour special on Fox News at 9pm on Friday. When asked by Kelly during the interview why they invited cameras into their home to film the reality series, 19 Kids and Counting, Jim Bob and Michelle replied: 'We had nothing to hide. The ceiling of the back area and above the refrigerator would be the floor of the master bedroom.

We had a clean bill of health from the state. We had no fear. That was actually a sealed juvenile record. They said it would never be brought out. On May 21, the police report on Josh's actions was publicly released. It states that in March , a girl came forward saying Josh 'had been touching her breasts and genitals while she slept.
Shortly after, Josh admitted his actions to his parents. At the time, the family had a meeting, but did not inform police. A year later, 'several' more minors declared that Josh had touched them.
Jim Bob and Michelle also told church elders of their son's actions, and brought him to Arkansas State Prison to speak with trooper Joseph Hutchens, in the presence of at least one elder. The scandal became public knowledge when the police report accusing Josh of molestation was obtained by InTouch Magazine - prompting Josh to confirm the shocking claims.
The police report detailed Josh's molestation of five minors in and In March , one sister said that Josh Duggar, then 14, 'had been touching her breasts and genitals while she slept.
He would admit to this a few months later in July, and a member of the family claims they had a meeting to discuss the incident. Then, in March , 'several' minors - including sisters and a babysitter - came forward to say that Josh had been touching them 'when they sleep,' leading to his father Jim Bob holding another family meeting and deciding to speak with elders at the family's church about the offenses.
It was suggested that Josh should enter a treatment program, at which point he spent four months in Little Rock, Arkansas helping a family friend remodel a building. Upon his return, Jim Bob informed those aware of the situation that Josh had received counseling and took him to a family friend who was a state trooper to reveal what had occurred, resulting in the teenager getting a stern lecture but no formal report being filed by police.
By all accounts, the offenses stopped and Josh apologized to the victim, but some time in an individual in the church who had borrowed a book from the Duggars found a note detailing Josh's molestation of minors. That person then sent that information in an email to The Oprah Winfrey Show shortly before the Duggars were set to appear, and they in turn notified authorities who began conducted an investigation. Jim Bob and Michelle along with all the victims were interviewed, though Josh was made unavailable to speak by his parents and no charges were pursued in the end as the statute of limitations had by that point run out.
He was never charged with a crime for the incidents as by the time police learned of the offenses the statue of limitations had passed, and his parents did not notify authorities in an official capacity.
Following the report's release, Josh issued a public apology for his actions as a teenager, admitting that he had 'acted inexcusably'. His parents also released their own statement on the scandal. Following the revelations concerning Josh's molestation of young girls, General Mills said it had 'blacklisted' the TLC show, 19 Kids and Counting, and removed it from its advertising schedule.
Since then, at least 14 other sponsors have done the same. And on May 22, TLC pulled the show from its schedule. The move came one day after the network decided to run a marathon of the show that heavily featured Josh, which had outraged fans.
