People always taking the demos to Egypt? Running the glaives into the water? Cool let them we getting hangar. Take hangar B. Defend hangar C. Man gunship D. Kill boss F. Collect loot. A hanger only strat will lose if Glavies are not brought down… Glavies destroys wall faster than both airship guns and seige.
Not anymore actually … they are still fragile but they were beefed few weeks back. They all have pros and cons. Like the one Human Ret who thought he could dethrone me, but instead got an all paid expenses trip to the graveyard. The ranged cannon can be used for the following: Destroy enemy gates: main reason to get this asset is to destroy the enemy gate wall allowing you to assault the enemy keep and boss.
Clear out the hangar node if being attacked. Once you cap this node you immediately get access to several stacks of bombs and 4 siege catapults that have two atack options: A ranged catapult A close quarter battering ram However if you keep the Workshop long enough you get a beefed up siege that if fully manned and with a decent driver can lay some really good siege. The current issue with the workshop is: They have very little health due to current dmg output and most will die before reaching the enemy keep.
If you capture this node you get access to 2 sieges: glaive thrower: two attack options, a long range high damage glaive and a short range spread dmg cluster of glaives.
This is the typical horde stat that more often than not goes uncontested by ally because they typically still believe Workshop and Docks can win. Once the enemy keep wall is down; you kill the boss and collect loot. Once you have taken Hangar you swap to the Hangar strat: Once you take Hangar you man the gunship and send people to jump into the enemy base and run bombs.
Any node can win, and all of them are very powerful if used correctly. And while quarry and refinery are great they mean little if the sieges never reach the keep. Your OP makes it sound like Hanger is the only way. They mean a lot if hanger airship cannons and bombs are your only offense.
People always cry about people fighting mid. We goo fight mid and kill the demos and glaives. Collect loot It is literally that easy. That is like literally stated in the strat. Besides you breathe on thenglaives and they die. But you did say: Bzzzzzzzzzzt. Isle of Conquest is for dummies.
It also works to some extent like AB with the different recources. Here are some of the highlights of the BG in detail. Or even better I. Use the new glaive thrower to maul opponents from a distance! Need honor? No problem! Capture the Quarry or Refinery to yield a constant flow of honor right into your back pocket!
Very nice work blizzard! Keep it coming. Comment by Here are some interesting things that you can find while in the Isle of Conquest: In the North-east part of the zone, you can find Scarlet Onslaught ships a few yards from the shore. Looks like the Scarlet's want some of the resources as well! If you look to the east of the island, you can find a giant land mass, what could that be?
EDIT: it should also be noted that if you go too far to the east or too far from the island in that matter you will enter a zone called 'no man's land' and will be instantly killed. This buff will also kill you even if your using a water walk, so no, you can not get to Icecrown via the Isle of Conquest instance. Comment by As of the time I write this, the Hangar is, in my eyes, the most important of the siege production nodes.
This stems from two reasons. One: you can't attack the airship. Where as with the Docks or Workshop, which create vehicles you drive up into the fight, the airship flies on a predetermined course high, high in the sky. While players can use the keep's turrets or go out on foot to destroy approaching vehicles, the airship is too far away to be attacked by players or turrets. Two: It allows you to paradrop massive amounts of troops into the enemy base.
It's interesting to note that while the keep does have turrets, none of them can shoot inside the courtyard. The only threat to paradropping players are other, enemy players. While you'd think the enemy players would have the home field advantage they respawn there, after all, that's not the case. The airship can quite effectively lay down suppressive fire that will quickly injure or kill anyone who gets hit. At first glance, you would think it'd be more effective to bring up a massive machine of war than to just drop in and plant bombs.
The reason paradropping is so effective, though, is that there is no limit to how many people can drop inside and plant bombs. You are limited on the other machines, however; two catapults, two glaive throwers, and four demolishers at one time. Twenty people armed with Huge Seaforium Bombs, assisted by the five player controlled cannons from the airship, can very quickly do a lot of damage to a gate.
Comment by Playing as a gnome rogue I found it very easy to cap and hold the flags until reinforcements arrived. I would just recap it before it switched fully over. If they came back then start the fight and distracting until others show up.
Once I cap it if someone goes to take the flag, well timed saps will stop them long enough to almost capture it. On the third sap you have to engage in combat with them. They were normally oblivious to this. This makes it good for rogues to escape and confuse hunters I had three hunters looking for me on the boat while I was under it. Only real way to counter it is AOE spam just before you start the capture. But again once they think they have the flag they run away.
Oh and the catapaults are funny. Silly moo. Comment by Anjealous The landmass u see is Icecrown and the stormwright shelf from scholozar, u can see in the distance the big vykrul fort of icecrown and the scarlet island, but if u keep swimmin u enter No man's land where u die instantly haha downrated this?
Comment by GaeBolge As of the time I write this, the Hangar is, in my eyes, the most important of the siege production nodes. Comment by Fjobben I think Blizzard did a great job on the new BG, it s big, well made and full of new exotic things, though they need to balance it a little: I think Blizzard did plan on making it a long BG, like AV was years ago, but now everyone just goes to hangar and onboard the ship and a 7 min win.
I hope Blizzard will make changes soon, but this BG looks very good. EDIT: They actually did! Docks are now the best, with workshop and hangar close ahead, in my opinion, go to the Docks and Workshop, hold them until gates are breached, then go hangar and let everyone jump from the airship to the opposite base and let the cannons take down the defenders. Comment by TheMaelstorm Jumping from a bombing ship into enemy base? What else can you ask from a battleground? Comment by from my experience it is a great BG but still has a zerg win strategy to it.
Alliance have the advantage as they are a tad closer to it. Comment by The Isle of Conquest is a point of strategic importance for the Alliance and Horde campaigns in Northrend. Serving as an ideal staging ground for operations in Icecrown, each side is determined to secure control of the island.
With the 7th Legion and the Kor'kron Guard locked in deadly combat, both factions have issued Comment by tabard has indeed been obtained already Otherwise a regular battle where you try and defend as much as possible will take anything from 20 to 45 minutes and reward let's say 3k honor but you earn more doing the rush mode in the long run.
Comment by I love this place, its so much like Strand of the Ancients and Wintergrasp combined! Comment by Is there any vendor? Comment by subanark The hanger is a bit less important now. The Huge Seaforium Bombs are now consumable, so there is a limit to how much damage you can do. An additional note, the graveyards work like AV. I won a game because the alliance had all the graveyards except for their own keep. Everyone who died spawned at their graveyard, and so we simple entered their keep and killed their general before they finished clearing though the remainder of our defenders.
Comment by Another fun little fact is if you go to the north east corner of the isle you go into a zone saying "Isle of Conquest No Man's Land" :. Comment by vigilpriest Given that the level range is , and the battles being fairly short, it'd be interesting to see the viability of BG leveling in this zone. Comment by rzzr Currently the docks seems to be the new hanger as Glaives are the new Airship!
Comment by kapitalizmus How can i get there? Comment by mixter oil derick? Comment by best place to get honor fast granted you have the time wg also gives great honor , but its a little bit less.

It's nice to offer up your opinion on them, but it'd be better if you posted maybe a picture of the battleground map and other beneficial information which is original.
